We treat a variety of neuromuscular ailments including: back pain, neck pain, headaches, leg/arm pain, etc. We do this by utilizing one or many of the services below:

Chiropractic Manipulation
Also known as an “adjustment”, chiropractic manipulation involves applying a controlled force to the joints, particularly the spine, to enhance proper motion, alleviate pain, and improve overall function of the musculoskeletal system. Dr. Parkinson prefers to perform chiropractic manipulation with his hands but can also utilize tools for those who desire.

Massage Therapy
Involves hands-on manipulation of muscles, tendons, and soft tissues to alleviate muscle tension, improve circulation, promote relaxation, and reduce pain. Our massage therapists will work in conjunction with Dr. Parkinson to treat you in the best possible way.

Traction (Decompression Therapy)
Involves using a specialized traction machine that gently stretches the spine to alleviate pressure on spinal discs and nerves. This technique aims to reduce pain, improve mobility, and enhance spinal joint function. We have seen great results with many disc related injuries using this method right here in Rexburg, Idaho.

Therapeutic Ultrasound
Utilizes high-frequency sound waves to generate heat deep within the tissues thus promoting circulation and easing muscle tension. This non-invasive treatment aids in reducing pain, swelling, and stiffness while enhancing the body’s natural healing process

E-Stim
Uses mild electrical currents which are applied to specific areas of the body. This therapy helps alleviate pain, reduce muscle spasm, and improve muscle function. It also stimulates nerves, promoting increased blood flow and aiding in the management of various musculoskeletal conditions.

IASTM (Instrumented Assisted Soft Tissue Manipulation)
Employs specialized tools to detect and treat soft tissue restrictions, scar tissue, or adhesions. By gently mobilizing and breaking down these areas, IASTM aims to enhance flexibility, reduce pain, and improve overall movement patterns for better function. Many athletes in Madison County have truly grown to appreciate this modality.

Cupping
The placing of cups on the skin to create suction. This suction helps increase blood flow to the treated areas thus helping to promote healing, alleviate pain, reduce muscle tension, and enhance relaxation.

Tape (RockTape/KT Tape)
Taping involves applying a special type of tape to support muscles and joints, enhance movement, reduce inflammation, and aid in recovery from injuries. Many athletes from Teton, Sugar, Rexburg, Rigby, and more have really grown to appreciate the aid they receive from various taping techniques.

Prescribed Exercises
Specific movements or activities prescribed by Dr. Parkinson to strengthen muscles, improve flexibility, and support the healing process. These will be tailored to the needs of each patient individually.

Other Manual Therapies
A variety of other soft tissue approaches can fall under this category all with the main idea of increasing motion of soft tissues and joints while helping to promote healing. Therapies that would fall under this category would be massage gun therapies, pin and stretch, PNF stretching, etc.
